It seems like Melbourne locals Hobson’s Bay Coast Guard burst out of nowhere fully formed. Catchy sun-drenched hooks, warped chords and trashy, manic drums are all smashed together into a coastal themed paint-your-own-adventure colouring book. After two years of percolating a concept album across scattered house-sitting arrangements, the band are sitting on a full-length LP to be released in 2019.
Since their performance at Bigsound 2018, the band has signed to Sunset Pig Records Management (A. Swayze & the Ghosts) and secured select booking agency’s top dog Rob Giovannoni as their agent. Seems there’s big things to come for HBCG in 2019.
