Chris O'Neill

Chris is a Melbourne-based multi-instrumentalist, composer, sound designer and award winning singer/songwriter.

Since completing his studies in 2009, Chris has been involved in hundreds of music and audio projects, written and released two solo CD’s and played with some of the nation’s most reputable acts, including Ian Moss (Cold Chisel), Mark Seymour (Hunters and Collectors) and Matt Corby.

In 2018 alone, Chris worked on a little more than 170 songs, pieces and projects for ads, films, VR, and the games industry. Career campaign highlights include brands such as Google, Canon, Square Enix, Uniqlo and Shiseido, as well as Grand Prix and Bronze Lion award winning projects at Cannes Lions in 2017 and 2018. His film and VR projects have seen selection at Venice Film Festival, Sheffield, Busan International Film Festival, MIFF, and nominations at The VR Awards.

Chris also contributes his skills to the games industry as a sound designer, character designer/voice-over engineer, and audio director. Some of his more personal highlights include remixing 'Snake Eater' for the latest Metal Gear Solid release, designing audio and additional music for the BBC's first ever documentary in VR (Easter Rising: Voice of a Rebel), and getting eaten by a T-Rex as the voice of the ‘Trapper’ character in Primal Carnage: Extinction.
