Naarm/Melbourne-based singer/songwriter Danika is known for her eclectic folk music, merging atmospheric dream pop with gothic country.
Growing up travelling around Australia and living in isolated places, Danika has formed a relationship with songwriting as her main way of understanding the nuanced human experience.
Working alongside producer Nick Herrera (Grammy-nominated) and Paul Bender (Hiatus Kaiyote), Danika’s debut EP ‘When Love Comes’ was released in 2021.
Influenced by the likes of Aldous Harding and Cat Power, her songs blend cyclical fingerpicking and warm guitar tones, using introspective lyrics to create a reflection of her reality. Having played shows across the UK and EU following the release of her 2023 EP ‘Down Love’, Danika looks forward to touring rurally throughout Australia this September and recording in October.
