Nat Vazer

Releases

We're proud to welcome Nat Vazer to the Gaga Publishing roster!

Nat Vazer began reading horror stories and learning classical piano at age five. Raised on old Beatles records and second-hand literature, the young queer Australian-born artist - the daughter of Vietnamese and Malaysian immigrants - is best known for her haunting stories and cinematic sounds that weave between indie-folk, rock and a ritual of building worlds through song.

Dubbed by The Music as 'one of the best songwriters of our generation', Vazer has been twice nominated for The Australian Music Prize for two studio albums and has performed at SXSW Austin, NYC's New Colossus Festival, BIGSOUND and South Korea's Tamna Music Festival. She has supported Parquet Courts' A. Savage, Vacations, #1 Dads, Last Dinosaurs, The Magic Numbers and more.

In the footsteps of genre-bending influences (Radiohead, Big Thief, Mitski, Andy Shauf, BoyGenius, Phoebe Bridgers, Perfume Genius), her songwriting has evolved into a distinct kaleidoscope of sounds that elevate the tradition of storytelling through song. Her latest record Strange Adrenaline was nominated for Best Independent Pop Album at the 2024 AIR Awards, debuting at #15 on Australia's ARIA Charts. New music coming in 2025.
