LISTEN 'The Other Day'

Maddy Jane explains “‘The Other Day’ is when you start kinda seeing someone and you know exactly what’s going to happen. Kinda watching someone be keen and then go cold and still going through it, knowing it’d turn and accepting that. That’s pretty much the scenario in this one. I had the idea for this song kicking around for a little while and I've got a new rhythm section that I've been playing with for around 6 months (who are amazing!). It wasn't until I started jamming some new songs with the whole band that this one really took its proper form. Then we jumped in the studio and started recording with Jackson and it all just fell into place really quick and working with them has taken my music further.”

Maddy recently performed at Yours and Owls festival in her hometown Wollongong and will soon be hitting the road with Trophy Eyes on their national album tour. Maddy will also be performing at Queenscliff Music Festival, Against The Grain and Fairgrounds Festival.

Maddy Jane has been writing songs far beyond her years on a beat up guitar her mum gave her in high school. It’s been a massive 12 months for Maddy with the release of her debut EP Not Human At All which features break out singles ‘Thank You and Sorry’, ‘No Other Way’ and ‘Drown It Out’ all receiving high rotation on national broadcaster triple j.
2017 saw Maddy embark on a string of supports around Australia with the likes of Tash Sultana, Polish Club, Kingswood and Luca Brasi, showcasing at Bigsound, The Plot and festival appearances at Festival of The Sun, Falls Festival (Marion Bay) and New Years on The Hill. To top it all off, Maddy was chosen to support superstar Harry Styles Australia and New Zealand tour.
